About Us

Principal, Charlene Easton is an accomplished sustainability leader with over 20 years working at the forefront of sustainability. Her background includes extensive international, business, public and not-for-profit sector work, and recognized achievements at the local, national and international levels.

As Director, Social Responsibility Glencore, Charlene established social standards and guidelines, and supported operational teams to strengthen overall community support and enhanced socio-economic community development across Glencore's global operations. As Director of Sustainability at the University of British Columbia, she managed a campus-wide sustainability portfolio dedicated to embedding sustainability in institutional management, teaching, research and campus operations; led the preparation of the UBC Climate Action Plan which attracted over $170 million in capital investments. Earlier in her career, Charlene produced the Jamaican National Environmental Education for Sustainable Development Plan. This plan was adopted in Parliament in 1998.

She brings accumulated knowledge and entrepreneurial experience in diverse sectors and geographies, and across a range of environmental sustainability issues.  Charlene is the author of several articles on sustainability and is a leadership coach and public speaker.
