Low carbon development at the University of British Columbia: design and execute the University of British Columbia’s climate policies and programs. Work includes climate adaptation research, stakeholder and community consultation, green house gas inventory preparation, climate action plans and targets, work-place and resident engagement, reports to provincial government, and manage related campus demonstration projects.

Sustainable development legacy fund agreement for Tl’azt’en nation and Nak’azdli band: facilitate community driven preparation of a legacy fund agreementand foster development of shared vision and way forward between the community and Teck Resources Ltd. The purpose of the Legacy Fund is to advance a healthy and sustainable society with attention to economic development, socio-cultural well-being, infrastructure, environmental stewardship and capacity building.

Fondo Minera Antamina (Antamina Mining Fund): technical input to the design of the locally-driven Antamina Mine Fund, (Fondo Minera Antamina or FMA) a legacy fund designed to build capacity for the long-term and sustainable development.

Community sustainable development Peru: three year advisor onthe Antamina, Peru Owners’ Working Group on Community (OWGC), (BHP Billiton, Teck Resources, Xstrata, Mitsubishi). Design input to the programs and projects falling under the FMA.                                         

Mining, minerals and metals research and learning centre at Britannia Beach, British Columbia: co-author on a community-driven discussion paper to establish a Britannia Research Centre on mining and sustainable development.

Western Economic Development, Western Canada:  design and execute British Columbia Environmental Technology Round Tablefocused on sector cluster development. Develop policy and recommendations to the Canadian Prime Minister. Manage technical projects to advance the commercialization and market expansion of green building, sustainable energy, water, waste-water and sustainability planning technologies and services in BC.

British ColumbiaSustainability Purchasing Network: stakeholder based preparation of BC Sustainability Purchasing Network concept design and business plan.

World Bank Cities Alliance Program and the city of Kingston and St. Andrew: led local government, civil society and technical partners to design, prepare, win and execute grant to develop a city sustainable development strategy for Kingston and St Andrew, Jamaica.

Kingston and St. Andrew City Development Plan: design and guide development of a city-wide vision and numerous community profiles blending environmental, social, infrastructure and economic development.

Sustainable Transportation Planning in Kingston Jamaica:manage preparation of a sustainable transportation discussion paper in partnership with the National Environment and Planning Agency, the Ministry of Transportation and the KSA Corporation.

Sustainable Tourism Development: design a parish wide tourism strategy and related community based tourism projects, Portland, Jamaica.

The Parish of Portland a Sustainable Development Profile: prepare State of the Environment and Development Report for the Parish of Portland Jamaica.

Local Sustainable Development Planning Framework for the country of Jamaica: develop this policy and practical planning framework to guide planning at the national and local level in Jamaica. Manage national and local stakeholder input from over 70 partner agencies.  The guide became a central platform in the government of Jamaica’s local government reform and community development processes.

Local Agenda 21 PlanningGuide: Co-write andproduce the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives’ (ICLEI) Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide. This guide is a comprehensive tool for local government’s application of sustainable development. All over the world, this guide is well-known and widely respected.
